As a person Sheik Hasina is an extraordinary woman. I heard her saying one day that when she was young she used to jump in the water of a canal in Tungipara to have a bath along with other girls of her neighbourhood. When she met our son as her physician at John’s Hopkins University in Maryland, she was so excited that she called many people in the world to say that she felt very proud to see a Bangladeshi doctor in such a high position in the best Medical School and Hospital of America. She also told our son that she was going to cook Bangladeshi food for him and his family. Soon she treated our son and his family at a dinner with chingri machh and and low, and many other items of Bangladeshi food that she herself cooked. Our son has been her physician ever since.
